My name is Pelicia, which means fur in Latin. I’m made from 100% natural wool from Gotland sheep that live freely and are raised in Denmark and Sweden. I am sustainable because I am a residual product from organic meat, fur and upholstery production. I am sewn together from different pieces of sheep’s wool. This combination of tactile surfaces is particularly good at stimulating the many receptors in the fingers and brings calm and balance to the nervous system. Research has shown that natural fur stimulates the exploratory tactile sense and produces feelings of happiness, curiosity and security in people – especially those with dementia, children and vulnerable young people and adults.
I am 100% Danish Craftsmanship and Design and is produced according to the highest quality and safety standards. Everyone from 0-100 years can tolerate me because I’m hypoallergenic and don’t bite!
I’m available in two sizes as a lap dog or as én, which is a little bigger to cuddle in bed with. I’m distinctive and unique because I’m hand-stitched with the leftover fur left over from production.
I’m naturally self-cleaning, but I’m washable if you think I need a bath! My &ldquomave&rdquo is a
bag of cherry stones that you can take out and heat up in the microwave whenever you need to. Cherry stones are great for retaining heat.
I was born out of a close collaboration with a nursing home in Aarhus, and subsequently I have also been tested in child and adolescent psychiatry in the metropolitan area. It has been proven that I can bring peace of mind and body to the users, regardless of age. I’m also a great conversationalist and can create rapport between people in a natural way. My ultra-soft fur with a natural scent makes many people compare me to a living pet that they can cuddle, hug and talk to for good company.
